Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Rocky wall at the road 400 m SW of textil factory in Háje nad Jizerou (Rybnice) about 500 m long and up to 20 m high. Massive and amygdaloidic andesite. Minerals infilling amygdales: chalcedone, rarely agate, amethyst, crystalles of quartz, smoky quartz, calcite, aragonite, delessite. - Upper volcanic sheet body of Rybnice volcanic group (Vrchlabí Formation). Small pocket-layers of grey-green mudstone, belonging probably to Háje Horizon are in the eastern part of volcanic body.
