Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Partly amygdaloidic, partly massive basaltoides are exposed in the southern part of the rocky outcrop at Hradiště village. They are underlied by red mudstones of Vrchlabí Formation (Permian, Autunian), exposed in northern part of the outcrop. The unique contact of effusive basaltandesite and mudstone is visible there. Coustic effect of underlying sediments is slight. This locality is situated in the Geopark Český ráj - the Bohemian Paradise.
