Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Silesicum and Žulová Massif. Mica schists with alternating mica-rich and mica-poor layers. Fine grained pelitic bodies alternate with coarser grained silty ones. In mica-rich parts staurolite crystals as large as 5 cm across occur. Also lenses of secretory quartz.
