Short characteristics of the site:
A former quarry for tin ore on Hirschkopf Hill at Jelení near Nové Hamry. The quarry is 100 m long and 8 m deep and is surrounded by other mine workings like a shaft, two galleries and shallow pits. These workings follow a series of intersecting bodies of tin-bearing greisens in granites of the Karlovy Vary pluton.
