Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Tertiary, volcanic formations. Isolated elevation overlooking the Slaný City and surrounding landscape. Old quarry exposed attractive columnar jointing of Tertiary olivine nephelinite (basalt variety). This jointing, fracturing and some other relief phenomena are visible also on the opposite elevation slope. Local geology is described along a nauture trail.
