Short characteristics of the site:
Historical quarry, partly active. Quarry faces expose a boundary interval Lochkovian/Pragian. Lower Pragian is developed in the bioclastic facies of the Slivenec Limestone. Red nodular limestones of the Řeporyje Member lie on the Slivenec Limestone. So called Slivenec marble has been exploited here since medieval times as a valuable decorative stone.
