Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Teplá Crystalline and surrounding metamorphic rocks. Relics of Tertiary basalt volcano, landmark, highest peak of the Teplá Highland. Fissure volcano on a crossing of two fractures. This basaltoid volcanite is represented mainly by an olivine nephelinite. Surrounding metamorphic rocks consist of amphibolites.
