Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Vienna Basin, Neogene, Bzenec Formation. Shallow natural trench with typical 7 m thick sequence of the Bzenec Formation, lithogically variable. This section consists mostly of silty sands with layers of sand and silt. Pelecypod shells are common in sandy sediments. Silts and silty clays are calcareous.
