Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Vienna Basin, Neogene. Erosional gully exposing sediments of the Bzenec Formation of Pannonian age consisting of whitish fine grained sands. On their base there is a layer of pebbly sand. Sands are fossiliferous, their heavy mineral association is as follows: Garnet, hornblende, zircon. Sands are mostly quartzose with some plagioclase and glauconite. Also micritized fragments of fossils were found.
