Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravosilesian Palaeozoic. Giant limestonme quarry called "Čebinka". Mylonitized Devonian limestones of the Macocha Formaton are quarried there. Limestones are tectonically affected, partly brecciated. In upper quarry parts basal Devonian sandstones and mylonitized granoiorites of the Brno Massif are thrust over Devonian limestones. In western parts of Čebinka Permian conglomerates are exposed, covering underlying limestones. They also partly fill depressions on limestone karstified surface.
