Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Boskovice Graben, Permocarboniferous. Small old quarry exposing interesting sets of Permocarboniferous sediments. Contact between two bodies of deposits of different depositional mechanism can be seen: Fluvial sediments of meandering stream and coarser grained sediments of outwash fan. Current bedding and lenticular bedding prevail. Conglomerates are unsorted and their clasts are mostly of limestones.
