Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, metamorphic units, Šumava Mts. Natural cave in crystalline limestones. Unique occurrence of a karst feature in this unit. Nature reserve in the Protected Landscape Area. Crystalline limestones pass gradationally into erlans and together with them form an interlayer within mignatized sillimatine-biotite gneisses. The cave is several dozens ofmetres long, partly flooded and represents important wintering ground of bats.
