Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, magmatites. Nature reserve. Outcrops on a slope overlooking Otava River near Orlík Dam Lake. Bedrock consists of biotite and hornblende-biotite granodiorite with preferred orientation of rock forming mnierals. Also contact with a dyke of cataclastic two-mica granite of the Central Bohemian Plutonic Complex is exposed. Protected interesting vegetation on granitic rocks.
