Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Small abandoned quarry with a basalt sill. It is overlain by shales of the Motol Formation (Silurian, Wenlock). The shales are rich in graptolites and contactly metamorphosed. Other outcrops shows devonian sequence from lochkov formation to zlíchov formation.
