Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum of Šumava Mts. Steep rocky cliff made of massive biotitic paragneiss with some sillimanite and lenses of crystalline limestone. River flood plain deposits consist of clayey sands and pebbly sands of Holocene age. On the river bank there are archeologically protected relics of gold washing, locally in form of morphologically distinct placers.
