Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Steep slopes of the Vltava River valley, locally with rocky outcrops, modelled by river erosion and periglacial weathering. Bedrock consists of biotite-muscovite granite wqith turmalin. In southern parts of this area there are outcrops of biotitic and sillimanitic biotitic paragneiss.
