Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Largest rock arch in the Central Europe (its heights amounts 19 m and width 26.5 m). It was formed by a selective weathering and removal of less competent parts of a rock massif. The pillar consists of quartzose sandstone of the Jizera Formation (Middle up to Upper Turonian). Remarkable locality, also touristically attractive.
