Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Silesicum, metamorphic units. Abandoned quarry exposing crystalline limestone of the upper part of the Branná Group. So called Ramzová fracture zone cuts locality surroundings and tectonic movements caused formation of mylonites. Crystalline limestones are deeply weathered and karstified, some fractures are opened and with sinter fills. Also many tectonic phenomena in limestones, e.g. fracture systems and foliation.
