Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Significant and typical locality important from stratigraphic and geomorphological viewpoints. Deep gorge with many outcrops of silicites (lydites) and siltstones of the Kralupy-Zbraslav Group of the Barrandian Proterozoic. In the silicites microfossils, namely bacteria and blue-green algae, were discovered.
