Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Orlice-Sněžník Crystalline. Large natural outcrops. Bedrock consists of banded amphibolites with interlayers of acidic porphyric metavolcanics. Nearby pegmatitic rocks occur. Overlying mica schists are deeply weathered. Complicated tectonic image, amphibolites are steeply inclined, evidence of overthrust is clear.
