Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Large outcrops called "Liščí kámen" on the right bank of the Osvinovský potok Stream 2 km NNW of Osvinov, Karlovy Vary area. Coarse-grained garnet-muscovite mica schists host a body of platy-disintegrating amphibolite about 100 m thick. Amphibolites contain plagioclase porphyroblasts and garnet. Foliation planes dip S to SSW. A dyke of massive lamprophyre above the amphibolite outcrops is visible in fragments and probably strikes NW-SE.
