Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Lusatian Massif and Krkonoše-Jizera Massif. Mineralized dolerites, ore deposit Kunratice (Schweidrich), known already in the 15th centry, later periodically extracted and/or prospected up to 20th century. Cu-Ni-Fe sulphidic mineralization is bound to the dolerite dykes cutting biotite granodiorite. Originally expoited for Cu ores, later Ni ores were also found which caused new surveying activities. Several old galleries occur there, one of them as much as 450 m long. Mineralogically very interesting, recently Ni and Pt minerals were described.
