Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Small abandoned quarry with muscovite-biotite granodiorite. This heterogeneous rock is intensively fractured and strongly weathered. It is fine- up to medium grained, slightly porphyritic. Dark schlieren are typical for this rock. It contains also xenoliths of gneisses, mignatitized gneisses, cherts and quartz nodules.
