Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Boulders and blocks of the Lusatian biotite granodiorite. These rocks are locally mechanically weathered and transformed into eluvial sands, locally as much as 5 m thick. Granodiorite boulders and blocks accumulate near the surface where finer grained eluvium is washed out. Desquamation structures and weathering out of feldspar phenocrysts on the block surface can be observed.
