Short characteristics of the site:
An abandoned sandpit in the residue of topaz-bearing biotite granite 1 km WSW of Horní Blatná. Granite is disintegrated into coarse sand down to a depth of min. 6-8 m. This residue also contains quartz-tourmaline nodules max. 10 cm in diameter.
