Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Lusatian Massif and Krkonoše-Jizera Massif. Two active pit quarries and one shelf quarry where typical Liberec granite is quarried. The rock is used for stonecutting, stonemasonry, production of polished slabs and pavement. In places pegmatite nests occur with crystals of brown quartz, muscovite and K-feldspar.
