Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry Soseň, about 800 m south of the village, is a protected as an Nature Monument. In the quarry, there are abundant blocks of 0.5-2 m large, there is also a pond about 20 x 20 m, otherwise the blocks, the wall is not well exposed, but the blocks of 0.5-1.5 m are fresh. Only reddish, coarsely randomly oriented grained biotite granodiorite of lower Palaeozoic age appears in the quarry, it may also contain amphibole.
The magnetic susceptibility varies between 3.5-5.5, on one block it was only 0.5 x 10-3 SI.
Measurement of radioactivity with a portable gamma spectrometer provided the following data: K = 1.8-2.2 wt. %, U = 5.5-6.9 ppm, Th = 13.2-17.7 ppm.
