Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Several abandoned quarries at the upper margin of the Rožmitál village. Andezitoides of different varietas: massive, amygdaloidal, tuffaceous aglomerates. Primary minerals: malachite, azurite, limonite, barite, sulfides and oxides Cu, rarely also pure Cu. Fossil bivalves have been found in sediments overlying andezitoide. Olivětín Member, Broumov Formation.
