Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemianm Cretaceous Basin. Steep rocky slopes of the Jizuera River valley expose fine grained calcareous sandstones of the Cretaceous Jizera Formation (Middle-Upper Turonian). The outcrops show interestng relief features of selective weathering, gravitational slope processes with blocky disintegration. Geomorphological features showing intensive vertical river erosion.
