Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Old vegetated quarries exposing the uppermost parts of the Lochkov Formation (Kotýz Limestone facies). Also boundary beds Lochkov/Prag are visible. This outcrop serves as a typical example of the Pragian event. Also important paleontological locality in the Vinařice Limestone.
