Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Železné hory Mts Pluton (Nasavrky Massif). Nature Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area. Deep canyon of the Chrudimka River with rocky slopes. Protected geomorphological phenomena, as castellated rocks with columns, pillars and mesorelief features. Blocky scree on slopes and canyon floor. Protected vegetation. Bedrock consists of granite with some veins of porphyries, aplites and quartz. Local occurrences of basic rocks.
