Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemian Cretaceous Basin - Quaternary. Raised peat bog, largest one in the area of the Českomoravská vrchovina (Bohemian-Moravian Upland). It is underlained by Cretaceous sandstones and marlstones and some Quaternary sand and loam. Dense pine vegetation. This locality is classified as National Nature Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy - the Žďár Hills.
