Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Orlice-Sněžník Crystalline. Rocky promontory overlooking meander of the Divoká Orlice River. This core of the Litice anticline consists of biotite granodiorite up to granite, so called "the Litice Granite". Castle Litice was built on a hill summit. Nearby quarry exploits the Litice Granite, very resistanmt and decorative building stone. Also abandoned gallery, formerly exploiting baryte, can be found there.
