Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
A horseshoe-shaped valley lined with outcrops of quartzose sandstones of the Jizera Formation (Turonian). Ferruginous cement in the sandstone forms linings of straight tubes 40-50 cm in diameter. A geomorphologically interesting site.
