Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Lusatian and Krkonoše-Jizera massifs. Deeply cut valley in the Železný Brod crystalline which consists of epizonally metamorphic Early Paleozoic rocks. Chloritic-secitic phyllites and green schists are most abundant together with pure crystalline limestones. Karst forms originated in these limestones.
