Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Rocky ridge consisting of quartzose sandstones (Quadersandstone). Sandstones are mostly medium-grained with coarser-grained interlayers and lenses. Also rare conglomerate layers. Current bedding is common, sandstones contain also kaolinized feldspars, glauconite and accumulations of heavy minerals. Sedimentologically interesting localiy.
