Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Svratka Crystalline. Castellated rocks, mainly rock pillars with rich mesorelief and microrelief features. Rocks consist of biotite gneiss and migmatite. Relief modelling took place during Pleistocene and frost weathering was intensive. This localiy became famous because of presence of unique and numerous rocky potholes. Potholes are 20-57 cm in broad and about 30 cm deep. Thick blocky scree along cliff foot. This locality is classified as a Nature Monument in the Protected Landscape Area.
