Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Svratka Crystalline, Svratka Dome. Rocky outcrops on slopes with abundant block scree. Northern part of this area belongs to the Svratka Crystalline, southern one to the Moravicum of the Svratka Dome. The Svratka Crystalline consists of two-mica lepidoblastic mica schists with garnet which alternate with metaquartzites and mnetaquartzitic gneisses. A body of crystalline limestones, locally dolomitic, also occurs. This locality, protected as a Nature Reserve, exhibits a contact between two regional tectonic units.
