Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry at Mlýnský vrch with rocky walls 5 - 8 m high. Whitish coarse grained rhyolite tuffs - Olivětín Member of the Broumov Formation. A contact with overlying carbonatic sandstones is visible at the western part of the quarry. Tuffs are the product of the youngest phase of the Permian volcanism and are petrographicaly different from the tuffs of older units. This locality is situated in the Protected Landscape Area Broumovsko.
