Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
An abandoned quarry and a classical paleontological site since the times of Krejčí (1869) and Frič - Bayer (1901). Cretaceous sandstones with claystone beds of the Peruc Member (Cenomanian) contain fossil flora. Formerly reported were arborescent ferns of the genus Protopteris.
