Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Freshwater Tertiary in the Bohemian Massif. Old vegetated sand pit. Fluvial sands and loesses of Pliocene age in the Upper Moravian Vale. The loess is on the top, underlain by gravel layer. On the base there are fine grained sands with limonite aggregates. Also soil horizon is present in this section.
