Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Erosional furrows incised in the right bank of the Metuje River near Česká Metuje and Dědov. The furrows reach to the rocky substrate of calcareous sandstones and marlstones. They deepened after a flash-flood in 1995, which also dissected the fan at their mouths into the Metuje River. Police Subbasin of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin.
