Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravosilesian Palaeozoic, Devonian and Lower Carboniferous. Abandoned quarry exposing massive greywackes with conglomerate on their base. These greywackes belong to the upper parts of the Hradec-Kyjovice Formation. Heavy mineral association was studied. Flysch structures occur on upper and lower bedding planes. Part of this section is also formed of rhythmically alternating siltstones and laminated claystones. Positive graded beddng is common.
