Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Silesicum and Žulová Massif. Abandoned quarry in a core of the Desná Unit (Proterozoic - Palaeozoic). Central body of a crystalline dolomitic limestone is rimmed by a talc schist. This, formerly exploited rock, is formed of talc, zoisite, tremolite and large amount of magnetite. Smaller amounts of the same rock forming minerals are present in crystalline dolomitic limestone. Overlying body of serpentinite can be also seen.
