Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned sand pit after intensive exploitation of kaolinized sandstones of the Upper Cretaceous age (Merboltice Formation). The base of volcanosedimentary complex is also exposed. The surface of sandstone complex is inclined which evidences a post-Cretaceous surface erosion. Sedimentologically and geomorphologically remarkable locality.
