Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Rocks up to 15 m high in the Sýkornice forestry W of Stupná village. Mostly coarse feldspathic sandstones to arkoses with conglomerate layers. Diagonal bedding and channel structures are present in parts, as well as hematitic concretions. A log of araucarite was found by Vladimir Prouza in lower part of outcrop. There are two watefalls (a lower one is about 7 m high) on the small creek penetrating rocks. Syřenov Formation, facies of arkosic sandstones (Carboniferous, Stephanian B).
