Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Rocky outcrops at the road, about 40 m long and 5 m high. Odolov Formation, Svatoňovice Member (Carboniferous, Cantabrian), Lower (Pulkrábek) coaly horizon. Type locality of greenish grey to dark grey siltstone with mudstone and fine sandstone interbeds, characteristic for Lower coaly horizon. They conain fosil plant leaves and roots. The outcrop of Pulkrabek coal seam is documented by a small old refuse pile of dark grey to black mudstones and carbshales in a small wood E of the locality.
