Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Permocarboniferous, Central and Western Bohemia. Spoil dumps and other traces after old coal mining. During second half of the 20th century black coal seam of the Nýřany Beds (Carboniferous, Westphal D) was exploited. Great variety of sediments can be found on spoil dumps: coal fragments, arkoses and subarkoses, coaly claystones, ferrolites and siltstones. In siltstones and claystones some plant fragments occur.
