Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, magmatites. Abandoned, partly flooded quarry exposing leucocratic muscovite turmalin orthogneiss (so called Přibyslavice Orthogneiss). Complex system of intruding bodies: Vein-like intrusion of muscovite aplite into orthogneiss, and intrusion of muscovite-biotite-turmalin pegmatite into aplite. Boundary between aplite and pegmatite is not sharp as well as contact of orthogneiss and aplite.
