Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubian magmatites. Natural outcrops of Přibyslavice Orthogneiss, leucocratic muscovite-turmalin orthogneiss with common garnet. Orthogneiss body is cut by pegmatite and quartz veins. Intensive erosion caused relief planation with tor formation. Also frost weathering affected this relief and accumulated scree along tor foot.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif > Moldanubicum > Magmatites in Moldanubicum
Stratigraphy: Devonian - Permian
Subject: geology, petrology, geomorphology, mineralogy
Geological phenomenon: frost cliff, outcrop, block field, tor, mineral
